The Silk Road Cafe is located in the heart of Dublin, in the Chester Beatty which is situated in the grounds of Dublin Castle. The café occupies the light and airy space of the Atrium, of two rooms in the old part of what used to be an eighteen-century Clock Tower building and we have tables and chairs outside next to the building overlooking the Dublin Castle garden.  In the front room you will find the counter where staff will explain and serve all the homemade food, cake and beverages from. The café is a popular meeting place for artists, students, tourists and lovers of good, healthy & fresh food.

Our food

what we do

The Silk Road Cafés food is based on the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine and reflects some of the countries represented in the museum. Middle Eastern, North African, Mediterranean, vegetarian and celiac friendly dishes are created by our chefs. The focus in each dish is home cooking using only the freshest ingredients. You will find a selection of dishes that change daily all serve with rice and vegetables or with two of our vegetarian salads. We also do soups, chicken kebab and freshly made falafels each day.

All our cakes, biscuits and breads are homemade and you will find mixed berry scones, plum & ginger cake, fruit tarts, fig cake, konafa and much more.
